Mischa Erben's seed bank | erotic plant sculptures - now new at BURN-IN

BURN-IN is very happy about the sympathetic newcomer! Welcome aboard!

The art project SAMENBANK, "preserves" botanical fruit stalks, whose dried shells often take on curious shapes. In this way, Erben makes them appear as sculptures. He is concerned with the formal aspects and the inherent eroticism of form therein. His formal language is found not only in the plant objects of his choice, but also in the animal human.

Totally, there are currently 70 seed banks with over 1,000 art photographs, half of which will be available in the BURN-IN online repository. The original files are enlarged on Chromalux or photographic canvas and have a format between 60 x 90 and 100x 150 cm | edition of 5 pieces. Special editions on request.

In May 2018 there will be the BURN-IN exhibition Botanical painting and photography in dialogue jointly with the artist Mischa Skorecz (painting)

.

Go on our botanical world tour, explore the seed bank with the scientific background information, plant names, locations and year of origin (harvest) of the fascinating plant sculptures. Visual & intellectual stimuli included!
