Characteristics and Vita
Martina Hamrik was born in 1967 in Kenzingen near Freiburg and studied from 2010-2014 at the Freie Kunstakademie Augsburg and the Kunstakademie Bad Reichenhall. Since 2005, numerous exhibitions and fairs in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and the USA. As an expressive painter and draftswoman, she focuses on the themes of movement and sports and theater and stage. The permanent dialogue between the static and the dynamic, the spaces and the actors, is considered the central element of all her works and is accompanied by a sensual aesthetics of bodies and movements. The abstract looping backgrounds contrast delightfully with the powerfully dynamic, self-assured protagonists. Unconsciously, an intoxicating feeling arises, triggered by the aesthetics of the movements of the depicted bodies. At the same time, the figures seem to partially step out of the rooms.

Flashback
In the 2013/14 season, the Ingolstadt Municipal Theater presented the playIn the Alps by Austrian writer Elfriede Jelinek. The theater magazine Flugschrift chose two perfectly matching works by Hamrik for the cover and corresponding article, the Skifahrerin and the Skirennen (80 x 160 cm). A real award for the artist, who knows like no other how to breathe dynamism and aesthetics into her protagonists.
Warum BURN-IN
BURN-IN lernte Martina Hamrik auf der ARTMUC, Bayerns größtes Kunstevent für zeitgenössische Kunst, 2019 kennen und war sofort von den ikonischen Moves der Sportler und den patentierten Schlaufenbilder überzeugt. Die positiven dynamischen Werke, die wir in der Soloausstellung SPORTY LOOPS erstmals in Wien präsentieren, fesseln den Betrachter durch eine ganz besondere Ästhetik und Anmut der Protagonisten. Die ganz spezielle Technik schafft enorme Plastizität und kreiert Tiefenreliefs, die eine perfekte Kulisse für die Athleten darstellen.
Hamrik spricht damit nicht nur private Kunstsammler aus verschiedenen Generationen an, sondern stellt auch ein überlegenswertes, nachhaltiges Investment für Corporate Collections dar.
