Expressive Urban Contemporary Art

Valuable synthetic elements of our planet conquer
Nessling's works and give them a unique
urban-contemporary touch.

Sonja Dolzer, gallery owner, Vienna

In November 2020, BURN-IN invites you to the exhibition Recyclat with the Austrian artist Sabine Nessling and shows works in bold colors, strongly reminiscent of Urban Contemporary Art (UCA). Urban Art is a legal form of Street Art, an art movement that not only occupies public spaces but has also gained a standing in the established art market (museums, galleries and auction houses). Many UCA artists shift their range of activity to indoor spaces by transferring their works to wood or canvas. This makes them portable and can be shown permanently, as opposed to temporary street art. Urban Art is a young art movement of the 21st century that draws its impetus from cities. Precursors are Muralismo (Mexico, 1920), Art brut (André Breton, Paris, 1947) and Action Painting (Jackson Pollock, USA, 1959).

Nessling's works convince with a sensitive interaction of the material concrete with countless filigree, synthetic elements that create a unique aura. The beauty of the used, the slowly transient once again emerges spectacularly. The extremely charming figurative and abstract compositions arouse a high degree of attention through bright, strong colors. The dynamic application of color intensifies the already strong expressivity, charges the works enormously emotionally and provides immediate emotional impulses. When viewing the paintings, one can literally feel Nessling's unbridled creative joy and her lateral thinking approach.

Silence

Nessling breaks new ground with her Expressive Urban Contemporary Art by composing the perfect dichotomy of permanence (concrete stands for stability, cool beauty, purism) and transience (symbolically represented by synthetic, filigree elements) in a highly original contemporary way. A fantastic artistic masterpiece in the direction of deceleration and sustainability, which in the demanding Corona era certainly inspires many to fundamental reflection and rethinking and meets fertile ground in a rapidly changing world.
A wonderful recyclate for art collectors and society, which already has great appeal to many art lovers.
A GreenART exhibition with depth.

Why contemporary art is "the" perfect companion for authentic storytelling, art branding campaigns and art in construction projects

"The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing."

The quote from the Greek poet Archilochos (7th century BC) teaches us that we can learn essential things from the supposedly simple hedgehog in terms of modern storytelling, because he is considered a great focuser with central insight. He knows the important connections - he doesn't get lost.

Great stories captivate the audience and have been considered a powerful tool for many years, successfully used by well-known organizations such as Red Bull, Swarovski or XXXLutz. This sustainably succeeds in transporting values authentically and converting them into face value. The Getty Code (authenticity, cultural relevance, sensual quality, classical archetypes) is considered the key to success. Contemporary art is used extremely rarely. This creates new opportunities for BURN-IN. Because in contrast to art sponsoring, the art branding developed by BURN-IN provides the interweaving of the strategic level of storytelling with the sensual-cultural art worlds. The interdisciplinary cooperation between gallery and marketing agency creates new approaches and conceives exciting change stories for lateral thinking companies, which are remembered 22 times better and sell 7 times better (source Harvard University). And last but not least, customers love exciting change stories and hero's journeys that enchant their lifestyles with a touch of luxury and exclusivity.

Thus, BURN-IN creates new resonant spaces for positive customer experiences positioned at the intersection of passions, values and capabilities. Nessling's Expressive Urban Contemporary Art and its current portfolio surprise with tremendous diversity and are predestined for contemporary storytelling, art on building projects and expressive façade installations - emotional roller coaster rides included.

Sabine Nessling

Sabine Nessling was born in Salzburg in 1966. She is a passionate painter, career changer and an up-and-coming artist with great potential who is dedicated to the highly relevant issues of our time.

Nessling graduated from the College of Fashion and Clothing Technology in Hallein, worked as a designer at a young age and joined her sister in her father's painting business. The craft led her to illusion painting and the artistic design of objects. Her remarkable sense of colour and style shaped her designs, which later manifested themselves in her artistic signature. From 2008, she devoted herself entirely to painting, receiving a sound education at the Academy of Art in Bad Reichenhall and with renowned professors.

Participation in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions (Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Slovakia). The organizer of art courses at Atelier Nessling, which are funded by the federal government, the province of Upper Austria and the EU, not least for aspects of sustainability.

BURN-IN has represented Sabine Nessling since February 2020.
