Back in 2019, Tiziana Trezzi presented the exhibition Imprints of life - the female perspective at BURN-IN. The master of chromatology inspires with her surrealist and hyperrealist works. She skillfully conceives formal spaces in evocative paintings and underpins them with expressive messages. Parallels with Frieda Kahlo emerge. Both report on the very personal imprints, the traces of life and those of society on the protagonists. Both describe the beauty, but also the cruelty, from their very personal, female perspective. Both suffer threatening illnesses and strokes of fate, master them with bravura and enter new artistic terrain with renewed strength. This is shown particularly well in the remaining works Composure, The Two Ages and The Newcomer. Trezzi draws the female perspective with a high degree of painterly sophistication and represents the proud Italian version of Superwoman.
