Exhibition 16.12.2024 - 28.02.2025

Knowing about nature is the first step towards loving and preserving it.

Konrad Lorenz

A stage for the hidden

In this extraordinary show, the BURN-IN Gallery presents ten artists who are united not only by their works, but also by their connection to the gallery and its philosophy. Distinct Worlds is more than a title: it is an invitation to explore the inner universes of the artists - their worlds of thought, emotional depths and individual perspectives.

Each act in this exhibition unfolds its own story and reflects the exciting themes that move us as a society: from psychological issues to cultural identities and ecological visions. At the same time, the exhibition invites us not just to look, but to question how art can change our view of the world.

Making psychology and the invisible visible

What defines us? How do inner conflicts and hidden desires shape our perception? The works of the artists in "Distinct Worlds " are deeply rooted in psychological reflections. They open up new perspectives on the intangible, often contradictory aspects of our being. From abstract compositions to figurative narratives, they invite us to engage with the deep layers of our psyche.

Cultural diversity and collective identity

Distinct Worlds opens up a space for the stories and characteristics that define us as a community. The works range from floral sculptures, expressive large formats, figurative and abstract art to minimalism, textile art, painting, art photography, raku, ceramics and hyperrealism. This multi-layered mix combines different artistic approaches and techniques to create a powerful dialog. The exhibition thus becomes a mirror of cultural diversity and invites visitors to rethink collective identities and discover surprising perspectives.

The past as a resonance chamber

History is not just an archive of the past, but a resonance chamber for the present. The artistic positions in Distinct Worlds reflect historical upheavals, personal memories and collective experiences. By inviting us to re-read these stories, they enable us to make connections between past and present and open ourselves up to future perspectives.

GreenART - art in harmony with nature

Sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a central component of the exhibition. In the examination of nature and the environment, the role of art becomes visible: as a medium that conveys knowledge and sensitizes us. The works illustrate how art and nature are interwoven. Some works reflect the fragility of our environment, while others question the hubris of technological progress.

The quote from Konrad Lorenz underlines this message: "Knowledge of nature is the first step towards loving and preserving it." The artists of Distinct Worlds invite us not only to contemplate the beauty and diversity of nature, but also to actively protect it.

The turn of the year as a point of reflection

At the turn of the year, Distinct Worlds offers a special opportunity for self-reflection. While the world outside is hectic, this exhibition offers a moment of calm and reflection. It encourages us to pause and explore the connections between art, society and nature - a look ahead to the challenges and opportunities that the coming year holds.

Discover the worlds of your own

With the exhibition Distinct Worlds - Art in 10 Acts, the BURN-IN Gallery opens a window into the unique worlds of its artists. This exhibition is an appeal to the power of art to inspire us, connect us and create new perspectives.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Distinct Worlds - let us touch, challenge and inspire you.

#ArtTRANSFER

Art. Nature. Future.

The BURN-IN Gallery stands for art that is different - a universe that is constantly evolving, driven by the creative forces of the artists who are closely associated with the gallery. With the exhibition Distinct Worlds, BURN-IN shows the complexity of the inner worlds that shape and drive these artists. The works not only open up individual perspectives, but also combine to form a common narrative: a universe in which art becomes a bridge between personal reflection and global responsibility.

For over a decade, BURN-IN has embodied the vision of using art as a transformative force for society and nature. This attitude is expressed in the close collaboration with the artists. Every work, every artistic position is part of this comprehensive cosmos, which is characterized by diversity, innovation and the unshakeable conviction that art not only depicts the world, but actively shapes it.

With GreenART, BURN-IN takes the connection between art and sustainability to a new level. The gallery shows how art can create awareness, transform spaces and redefine values - whether for collectors, cultural institutions or companies looking to make a sustainable statement.

The decision to bring art to the Gerngross department store symbolizes this democratic approach: art should touch, inspire and be integrated into everyday life - without fear of thresholds, without barriers. Here, artistic vision and social relevance merge into a unique experience.

The Distinct Worlds exhibition reflects this universe: the BURN-IN artists unfold their inner worlds here - reflected in works that combine culture, psychology, history and nature. Their art is a dialog that goes far beyond aesthetic pleasure. It challenges, inspires and shows how art sets spaces and thoughts in motion.
