Caught

We are all caught up in many ways. Art reflects this to us in a unique way, sensitizes us and, in the best case, should stimulate reflection.

Ingeborg Rauss has for many years been concerned with systems of order and their interaction with natural laws, whereby man is part of a hierarchy of organizational levels. In her works there are elements of Op-Art, which symbolically show boundaries. Eva Pisa confronts us with her family ties and roots sometimes painfully with the imprisonment in relationships and society. Tomislav Sabolić's beliefs, which he impressively processes with men's files in Dok3na UMA, focus on the self-imposed limits of the individual. Ernst Platt came to painting through his imprisonment. With it, he crossed a threshold that allowed him to process his traumatic past.
