Marvelous Cityscapes

Tomislav Sabolić has become a famous Croatian painter, especially by painting the cityscapes of his hometown Varaždin, on which he often casts a surrealist eye.

He works mostly in oil technique on canvas or wooden panels. Soft, harmonious beige and gray tones form the basis, accentuated by a determining black or other partial coloration. With the synthesis of abstract structures and fragments, Sabolić creates unique compositions with high recognition value.
