SPORTY LOOPS

The expressive painter and draftswoman Martina Hamrik from Tutzing (near Munich) became internationally known through her unique, patented loop paintings. This technique creates an enormous plasticity and a reduced abstract backdrop for the dynamic athletes, who thus come even more into focus. With indescribable coolness, Hamrik stages her protagonists and reveals their very personal obsessions and chooses sports that live from aesthetics and rhythm, from the choreographic and playful.

With her very special ductus, she develops sporty cult objects that let the viewer experience only the lustful and aesthetic sides of sports.
