The BURN-IN Gallery celebrates its third anniversary and undergoes a detailed self-reflection, presents the most important milestones of the past and shows in the session on May 19, where the further journey of the gallery & thought factory goes.
VIRTUAL & REAL.
Artistically, BURN-IN relies on complex 3D visualizations and animations in multi-media and a polygon ART installation on the envelopes of the gallery.
The mirror elements "reflect" sometimes strongly divergent images of self and others, "discuss" positions and abduct into worlds that can be experienced intuitively and up close for everyone.
But the SELF-MIRROR IMAGE also shows the played-in shop windows as mirror images and digital windows on art and puts complex topics up for discussion. Visitors not only view themselves in the shop window mirrors, but also get a virtual glimpse of the BURN-IN work.As German philosopher GERNOT BÖHME says, today it's all about the need to be seen. The images become vital, because they would become evidence for us that we exist. However, the increasingly important self-reflection in our digitally dominated world should also be supplemented from time to time by a SELF REFLECTION that leads to EMOTION, INSIGHT and an action shaped by EMPATHY. In addition, the installation also makes reference to the BURN-IN cultural coordinates (CSR sustainability project with artistic intervention) and puts the gallery in a new light, unknown to many.
